This page explains how Coach + Consult handles your personal information. We keep it short, plain, and honest. If anything here isn't clear, get in touch and I'll explain.

Who we are

Coach + Consult is operated by Carmel Capuano, based in Melbourne, Australia. ABN 51674191372.

‍

When this page says "we" or "us", it means Carmel Capuano trading as Coach + Consult. When it says "you", it means anyone who visits this website, gets in touch, or works with us.

What we collect

‍

Three categories:

‍

1. Contact details you give us. Your name, business name, email address, phone number, and role. Usually shared via the website contact form, a discovery call booking, or directly by email.

2. Business information you share during the engagement. During the diagnostic and ongoing work, you'll share commercially sensitive information about your business: financials, team structure, decisions, and pressures. This is treated as confidential under the terms of our engagement letter.

3. Website usage information. Standard analytics on which pages get visited and roughly where visitors are based. Not tied to your identity unless you've also contacted us.

We use Google Analytics and Fathom for this.

‍

We do not collect sensitive information such as health details, religion, political views, or anything similar. We have no need for it.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Reply to your enquiry
• Run a discovery call with you
• Deliver the coaching and consulting work you've engaged us for
• Send the occasional email update, only if you've signed up or asked to be added
• Improve the website and the services we offer

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketers. We do not trade in personal data.

Who we share it with

‍

A small number of trusted providers help us run the business. They each have their own privacy practices, which you can review on their websites:

• Email and calendar: Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
• Document storage: Google Drive
• Scheduling: Calendly
• Email newsletters: Mailchimp, only if you've subscribed
• Payment and invoicing: Stripe and Xero
• Website hosting: Webflow

We share only what each provider needs to do its job. We never share your information with anyone else without your permission, except where required by law.

How we protect it

‍

Information you share is stored in password-protected systems with multi-factor authentication enabled. Confidential business information shared during engagements is held under the written confidentiality terms in our engagement letter.

We do our best to keep your information safe, but no system is ever completely secure. If something does go wrong, we'll let you know and notify the relevant authorities as soon as possible.

How long we keep it

‍

• Enquiries that didn't lead to an engagement: deleted within 12 months, unless requested to stay on our system
• Active and former client records: kept for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years, to meet Australian tax record-keeping requirements
• Newsletter subscribers: kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

‍

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete it (subject to any legal record-keeping obligations)
• Stop using it for a specific purpose
• Unsubscribe from emails (every email also has an unsubscribe link)

Cookies

This website uses a small number of essential cookies to make it work properly. We also use Google Analytics which sets a cookie to count visits anonymously. You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer.

International visitors

Our services are aimed at Australian businesses. If you contact us from outside Australia, your information may be transferred to and stored in Australia. By getting in touch, you consent to this.

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated to existing clients directly.
